About the Team

We are Perstrix Racing, a student-led STEM Racing (F1 in Schools) team from Private International English School, Abu Dhabi, UAE, competing in the Development Class. Our team of passionate young engineers designs, manufactures, and races a miniature F1-style car entirely from scratch — applying real-world skills in aerodynamics, CAD design, manufacturing, project management, and marketing.

STEM Racing is an internationally recognized engineering competition endorsed by Formula 1, where student teams from over 40 countries compete at regional, national, and world level. We are currently preparing for the STEM Racing National Finals in UAE, representing our team on a national level. Website: https://perstrix.github.io/

Our Project:

We are preparing to participate in the STEM Racing competition, an international challenge where students design, build, and race a miniature Formula 1 car.

This competition requires us to:

• Design our car using advanced CAD tools
• Manufacture precision components
• Optimize aerodynamics and performance
• Test and refine our prototype
• Our objective is not only to compete, but to excel on the international stage.

We used Fusion 360 by Autodesk for CAD designing, the car you can see above was designed using Fusion. We used Ansys discovery to run wind tunnel simulations on the car(CFD-Computational Fluid Dynamics).

Our Goal:

The winning team will have the opportunity to compete in World Finals, representing their country at a global level.

This is our dream, and we are fully committed to achieving it.

To perform at our best, we need access to high-quality materials and manufacturing resources. The cost of these materials is significant, especially for a student team. We will need to cover the costs of manufacturing process of the car and printing of other deliverables.
