Team Robocon LDCE from LD Engineering College in Ahmedabad competes in the DD Robocon, followed by the ABU Robocon every year. ABU Robocon hosts an international robotics tournament annually. In India, it is organized at the national level by DD Robocon.


We have been participating in ABU Robocon since 2004. We have consistently qualified in the top 10 in the nationals. Additionally, we have also received several honors such as Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up, Most Functional Robot Award, Best Innovative Design Award, Best Idea Award, and Prof. Balakrishnan Memorial Award. Furthermore, we represented Team India in Mongolia by becoming National Champions in 2019



Above Video consists of our journey throughout the year 2024 of thrieving into the theme and the field of robotics for exception performance at the national competiton held at DD Robocon.


One part of the projct that uses PCBs extensively is the electronics department: The Robot Hardware are composed of two distinct PCBs circuits, a power delivery circuit, and a computing unit circuit.


1. Power delivery unit


Its role is to manage and deliver the power from the Li-Po battery to the system and it is operated through a rotative switch with three distinct positions that is rated for high vibrations uses. It operates in three distinct modes: Off, power delivery (On) and charging. The charge mode allows the payload’s battery to be charged using a USB-C port, without having to dismantle the entire structure to do so.


2 Computing Unit


its role to compute and control the whole robot, we use STM-32 and ESP-32 for the computing along with raspberry pi-4 for real time detection and object recognition for basket recognition. We used above controller as it provide more pin being compact in the size and also have high bit computational power

Our team strives to provide students with an environment in which they can address challenges in the real world with a solution-driven mindset. Our efforts are consistently directed toward creating designs, developing algorithms, and building and testing systems to arrive at the most efficient solution. ABU Robocon provides us a platform to realize our ideas to life.


Looking forward, the team is eager to continue their success in future competitions and inspire more students to pursue their passion for Robotics and Automation technology. They are committed to fostering a community of innovation and collaboration, where students from all backgrounds can come together to tackle the challenges of the Robotics industry and hands-on projects.


The team would greatly benefit from the support of PCBWay. As a team dedicated to designing and building rockets for international competitions, we face challenges in sourcing and manufacturing parts within our budget and timeline. Quick prototyping capabilities would allow us to provide valuable design experience and feedback to more members of our team, enabling them to expand their skills and knowledge for not just one project, but all of our ongoing endeavors, including Shooting mechanism, where experienced students are developing a fully in-house single roller shooting mechanism that will be later on integrated in our competition to fully realize our goal of winning DD Robocon 2025. as well as performing better robot for ABU Robocon 2025, a research project aiming to develop advanced robotics and control technologies for our themed based ROBOT, of which a prototype is shown below

Above is the proposed designe for This year theme robot for ABU Robocon 2025

ABU Robocon 2025 will be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from August 22–26, with the theme "Robot Basketball". Teams of two robots compete to score basketballs into the opponent’s hoop, using passes, dribbles, and defense strategies. The hoop is 2.43 m high, and dunk shots earn the most points. India’s representative will be selected through DD Robocon 2025. The motto is “Team Effort, Ultimate Success.
