Stier Racing - Accumulator Modules
We are Stier Racing, a student motorsports team from India, participating in Formula Bharat 2026 under the Formula Student Electric Vehicle (FSEV) category. Our team is designing and fabricating a high-performance electric race car from the ground up, and at the core of this car lies one of its most vital systems — the Accumulator Pack.
The accumulator is the main powerhouse of an EV, supplying electrical energy to the drivetrain via the motor controller. It is not only the heart of our electric vehicle but also one of the most critical, high-voltage components in terms of performance, safety, and reliability.
Our pack is built with the following configuration:
Module configuration: 5s15p
Total pack configuration: 20s15p
Each module consists of 75 cylindrical 21700 lithium-ion cells, precisely arranged in 5 cells in series and 15 in parallel. The cells are spot-welded using Nickel strips to ensure low-resistance, high-current interconnections, which is essential for peak performance and efficiency in an EV application.
To structurally and electrically secure these cells, we have designed custom cell holders, which are essential to:
We require 2 CNC-machined holders for the production of the modules
We have chosen ABS – Flame Retardant as the material for these cell holders because of:
We are seeking sponsorship support from PCBWay for the CNC machining of 2 cell holders. Your precision manufacturing and material capabilities will help us produce high-quality, regulation-compliant modules that meet Formula Bharat’s stringent technical standards.
In return for your support, we will proudly:
We’re excited to partner with PCBWay in pushing forward sustainable mobility innovation and building India's next generation of EV engineers!
