I'm Daniel, an 18 year old from Germany that enjoys developing 3d printers.

A few years ago I got into FDM printing, got my first kit and after a while I decided to make my own, better FDM printer. After months of planning, everything worked out well and after finishing that printer, I sold it.

I wanted a bigger challenge.

The result is the LUX SLA printer. Based off the abandoned 'OpenExposer' mechanism I designed the entire machine from scratch, including all electronics, software and mechanical aspects.

Considering that this is a PCB manufacturer, I won't go too much into how the printer actually does things.

Simply imagine a normal laser printer, but with a UV laser, and three instead of one axes.

The board I am showcasing in this post is a stepper motor driver using the TMC2130 made by Trinamic. It features several awesome functions which enable sensorless homing aswell as incredibly quiet movements. The board is supposed to be a module which can be soldered easily by anyone, which means not only will it be used by my 3d printer controller, but also by anyone curious for other projects involving stepper motors.

I plan to release all sources too, so anyone can contribute, improve or adjust the current design to his own needs.  

As anyone reading this can probably remember, funds are very limited when just starting out in the adult world  (as I still go to school 1 week each month). A sponsored board would immensely speed up development as this is among the most expensive parts to get made in order to get the first prototype up and running.
