Students 2 Space is an educational initiative aimed at inspiring and empowering young minds to explore the wonders of space science and technology. By bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world space missions, Students 2 Space provides students with hands-on experience in scientific research, experimentation, and problem-solving related to space exploration. The program encourages curiosity, collaboration, and creativity, offering students the unique opportunity to design and conduct experiments that may even be launched into space.

Our mission is to empower students to design, build, and launch space-ready technology through ambitious engineering projects, international competitions, and real-world challenges. One of our most technically demanding and innovative areas is our Avionics Department, which extensively utilizes custom-designed printed circuit boards (PCBs) to bring our rocket to life.
Avionics
Our avionics are centered around two key custom PCB systems: the Power Delivery Unit and the Main Controller, each designed and assembled by our student team.
1. Power Delivery Unit
This circuit is responsible for safely managing and distributing power from Li-ion battery cells to the entire payload. It features 2 buck-boost convertors to improve reliability and safety.
2. Main controller
The heart of our computing system is a STM32-based PCB. This custom board includes:
SD card reader for data logging
Integrated IMU, barometer, magnetometer, power sense and GPS tracker.
A buzzer for audible feedback and status signaling
This compact yet powerful setup enables advanced data collection and control capabilities during flight.
Why We Need PCBWay
As a student team building a complex and ambitious rocket like YODA on a limited budget and timeline, rapid and reliable PCB prototyping is essential. PCBWay’s support would allow us to:
