I am finishing my last year of swiss school and where I attend, they make us do a project for the last semester. This years topic was any decoration, so I decided to make this icosahedron. I combined my knowledge of mathematics and my intermediate 3d modelling skills to design this. A pentagonal base that when you comnbine 12 of them, they make an icosahedron. The cylinders poking out are arty hollow so you can connect them with any type of 25mm diameter rods to make an icosahedron to any size you want. It's quite a simple design that I'm really really proud of. In another Blender file I connected 12 of them by themselves (cover photo) and out came a pretty solid decoration.
