AI-Based Robotic Arm Project
We are a group of graduate students from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, currently working on an advanced research project titled “Artificial Intelligence Powered Robotic Arm.” Our project is being developed as part of a graduate thesis with the goal of applying cutting-edge embedded systems and machine learning techniques in real-world robotic applications.
Our robotic arm is designed to interact with users through EMG (electromyography) sensors, process the data in real time using STM32H7 series microcontrollers, and control multiple motors for precise actuation. The entire system is developed from scratch, including custom PCB designs that handle motor drivers, power regulation, Bluetooth and CAN communication, external flash memory, and AI-supported decision-making modules.
As a student team working in an academic setting, we face various limitations, especially in manufacturing high-quality PCBs for testing and implementation. Reliable PCB fabrication is a critical part of our development cycle. Delays or defects at this stage directly impact our ability to test our algorithms, iterate on hardware, and validate system-level performance.
Therefore, we are kindly requesting PCBWay’s non-commercial, educational sponsorship support for manufacturing the PCBs designed for our robotic arm system. We are not a company or start-up, but a student research group focused purely on learning, experimentation, and academic development. All of our work is open-source, educational, and shared with other students in our university to promote hands-on learning in robotics and embedded AI systems.
By receiving your support, we aim to:
We believe that with your help, we can continue our learning journey and contribute meaningfully to the next generation of intelligent robotics. We would be happy to feature PCBWay’s name on our project presentation materials, research posters, and final prototypes, acknowledging your support of student-led innovation and technical education.
We thank you for your time and consideration. Please feel free to reach out if you need any more information about our project, schematics, or technical documentation.
