2025 STEM Racing National Final Champions
STEM Racing, formerly known as F1 in Schools, is an international STEM education competition sponsored by Formula 1 where teams compete to manufacture, market and race the best F1 model car, taking on various STEM-related responsibilities.
STEM Racing is an initiative sponsored by Formula 1 in which high school students put their marketing, engineering, and enterprise skills to simulate real Formula 1 competition on a smaller scale.
Our team, TF2Fast who won the regional finals here in New Zealand, will be heading to the national finals in Australia, the direct precursor to Worlds, which is the global competition. However, we will need the help of sponsors in getting us to Australia and hopefully Worlds, which is why we will need to enlist your help.
Our goal is that we fully intend to win the competition, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in STEM, potentially punching our ticket to Worlds. We hope you’ll be willing to support us financially in making this goal happen!

As an STEM racing team from Saint Kentigern College, our journey is built on constant development, both individually and as a team. We utilize modern engineering CAD software such as SolidWorks to develop both a functional and aerodynamic car. Each team member has taken defined roles, allowing us to function as a professional STEM racing team with clear roles and responsibilities. Through this project, we not only enhanced our technical skills but also our skills in time management and leadership, which are vital skills we can utilize later in the workforce.
Our team consists of a highly capable squad of dutiful members that strive for excellence in all that we do.
Matthew Wang – Team President
To ensure order and schedule is adhered to, a leader must be chosen for the team. Matthew Wang is a sensible individual with a strong sense of duty and responsibility; he will lead the team to success.
Kendrew Wong – Sponsorship Manager
Money makes the world go round and Kendrew Wong is the most capable one to find such funds. His role allows us to find and accumulate the funds and resources necessary to compete in the competition.
Yujie Shen – Finance Manager
Critical to success is the dependability and reliability to which Yujie Shen is capable of. His role includes being the finance manager, ensuring that the budget remains clear, and we have all the resources to achieve our ends.
Andrew Yang – Design Engineer
The most important aspect of the competition is how the car races. Andrew Yang pushes those boundaries, working digitally with the Solidworks CAD software to create innovative new car models.
Leo Luo – Manufacturing Engineer
Leo Luo is a key aide of Andrew Yang in making sure the car races well, bringing Andrew’s models into reality. His role includes manufacturing both the booth and car and ensuring they end up processed immaculately.
Leonard Navaratnam – Graphics Designer/Marketing Manager
To pair with a model, you also need a brand. That is Leonard’s job as he is responsible for most of the corporate identity associated with our brand. He runs the social media accounts, carrying our message outwards.
In return for sponsorships, we offer advertisement opportunity to a large consumer base of high school students who are potential engineers, marketing directors, or entrepreneurs. This may be through social media, logos on our uniform, car, booth, portfolios, or full incorporation with our team which may even include our name and logo.
We are open and flexible regarding sponsorship terms, and would be delighted to discuss potential arrangements that align with your goals and interests.
We thank you for your time – if interested, please contact us for further details, we are more than happy to display our capabilities and discuss terms!
